The coastguard were called to just north of Bude this evening and abseiled down the 300 ft cliffs to rescue two people, believed to be holiday makers, stranded by the high tide. The RAF search and rescue helicopter (shown here just after the second winch) was called in to assist and successfully winched the two people onto the cliffs. It is believed that neither of the two were injured.All very successful and all just another co-ordinated exercise. Well done!!
