On Thursday, after a few days of high winds, high tides and huge waves crashing down on to the beaches and cliffs along the North Cornish coast, today autumn made way for winter with a hard overnight frost followed by a beautiful sunny warm day (yes! that’s winter in Bude for you). One picture shows what appears as an inverted crown as the sun streams through the clouds late on Thursday afternoon, and the other taken 25 hours later shows Venus shining brightly in the evening sky with just a few clouds adding colour to this wonderful scene, taken from the terrace of The Pot and Barrel B&B in Bude
